Aero-Ukraine Project Events

One of the objectives of the project is to help Ukrainian aeronautics actors to become aware about aeronautics research opportunities under the FP7 Transport programme. In order to achieve this aim, we will organise one FP7 aeronautics event in:

• Kiev - October 28-29 2009
• Zaporozhye - 5th October 2010
• Kharkiv - 21th April 2011

The events will be supported by all the consortium partners. We will also have some of the AERO-UKRAINE Advisory Board members supporting the events in Ukraine.

First Workshop of the Aero-Ukraine project

Bridging the Ukrainian Aeronautics Industry With the European Union

The workshop was held on the 28th and 29th of October 2009 in IPMS-NASU, Kiev, Ukraine. This workshop was actively supported by the European Commission. To achieve the global goals of aviation and of aeronautical industry, the European Union must co-operate with all European countries, including Ukraine. This workshop gave the opportunity to learn about the mechanisms of research funding in the EU. The workshop showed what long-term objectives are behind the calls for proposals.

During the two days, Ukrainian organisations presented their capabilities and shared them with the representatives of Europe’s aeronautical research, industry and policy makers, who came from leading European participants and the Aeronautics unit of the European Commission.

We are certain that the Aero-Ukraine workshop enabled the Ukrainian aeronautics related organisations to extend their research co-operations.
